From a Mountain Pass Comes Something Worth Savoring
Joppenbergh Gap Distilling was born from a simple conviction: that the best spirits begin with the land they come from. Nestled along Route 32 in Tillson, New York, our distillery sits at the edge of the Catskill foothills — a place where clean water runs deep and the soil grows exceptional grain.
We started with a single 50-gallon copper pot still and a notebook full of recipes refined over years of experimentation. Today, we produce a full line of small-batch spirits, each one distilled, aged, and bottled right here in the Hudson Valley.
Our process is deliberate and unhurried. We source our grains from farms within the region, filter our water through natural aquifers, and age our whiskeys in new charred oak — because the patience this craft demands is worth every day.
